    • Duration: 4 hours (Starts 30 minutes before sunrise)
    • Capacity: 1 – 8 persons
    • Note: For groups of 4 or more, please provide a rental car or chartered vehicle. The guide will join you in your vehicle. Larger groups may startle the birds, reducing sighting opportunities.

    • 2 – 3 persons: 28,000 JPY / person
    • Groups of 4+: 90,000 JPY / group + 1,000 JPY (Insurance fee) x total number of participants
  • Child rates are not available; participants aged 6 and older are charged the adult rate. For children under 6, a 1,000 JPY insurance fee per person applies.

9:00		We will visit forests and low-traffic routes in the early morning to search for bird species endemic to Okinawa’s Yambaru region. Sighting opportunities are highest during the breeding season from March to June. While sightings are still possible during the summer months from July to October, they are less frequent from November to February.

Notes
  • Under Notice No. 359 (国自旅第359号) issued by Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, nature guides may offer tours that include transportation. (Legal reference)
  • This tour starts from Ada Garden Hotel and heads to nearby forest roads to look for the Okinawa rail, Okinawa robin and Okinawa woodpecker. We recommend avoiding the cold months of December to February, when the Okinawa rail and other birds are less active and sightings are less likely.
  • We recommend that you do not book breakfast at your accommodation, so the schedule stays flexible. If you are staying at Ada Garden Hotel, please book a room-only plan (素泊まり) and arrange dinner separately by email or phone. You can pay for dinner at check-in. * Please note that dinner must be added by the day before check-in at the latest; it cannot be added on the same day.
  • Rainy Weather Guidelines:
    Rainfall under 5 mm/h (with rain easing): Tour runs as scheduled (observation from inside the vehicle is also possible)
    Rainfall 5 mm/h or more, typhoons, or cold snaps: Tour canceled (as bird activity decreases significantly in these conditions)
  • Sightings of specific species are not guaranteed.
