Origin: Taiwan, China, Japan, Korea, northern Vietnam, India, Myanmar. In Japan, it is found in the Yaeyama Islands.
This is a large species of swallowtail butterfly commonly seen in the Yaeyama Islands, but it is also found in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and other regions. Its larvae feed on plants in the citrus family, and at night it is often seen resting on the host plants.
