Available year-round. Note: Sighting opportunities for endemics are lower outside the breeding season (March – June).
Pickup Plan – Includes pickup from Yuiyui Kunigami, Okuma Resort, Yanbaru Hostel.
- Duration: 5 hours (Starts 1 hour before sunrise)
- Capacity: 1 – 3 persons
- 1 person: 30,000 JPY / person
- 2 – 3 persons: 17,500 JPY / person
- Ages 6 – 15: 13,000 JPY / person (When accompanied by at least 2 adults aged 16+)
- Note: For groups of 4 or more requiring transportation, please arrange a private charter and refer to the Self-Arrival pricing below.
Self-Arrival / Charter Plan (meet on site) – Fungawa Dam Parking or Ada Garden Hotel (Guests only).
- Duration: 4 hours (Starts 30 minutes before sunrise)
- Capacity: 1 – 8 persons
- Note: For groups of 4 or more, please provide a rental car or chartered vehicle. The guide will join you in your vehicle. Larger groups may startle the birds, reducing sighting opportunities.
- 1 person: 24,000 JPY / person
- 2 – 3 persons: 14,000 JPY / person
- Ages 6 – 15: 10,500 JPY / person (When accompanied by at least 2 adults aged 16+)
- Groups of 4+: 45,000 JPY / group (Plus 500 JPY / person for insurance)
Children under 6: Participation is not recommended. A 500 JPY insurance fee applies per child.
Extended Observation Fees
- Duration is calculated until return to the meeting or drop-off point.
- 1 person: 6,000 JPY / hour
- Groups of 2+: 7,000 JPY / hour per group
Price examples
- 2 persons (Pickup): 5 hours extended to 6 hours
  (17,500 x 2) + 7,000 = 42,000 JPY (Total for 2)
- 5 persons (Self-Arrival): 4 hours extended to 6 hours
  45,000 + (500 x 5) + (7,000 x 2) = 61,500 JPY (Total for 5)

5:00 　\| 9:00	We will visit forests and low-traffic routes in the early morning to search for bird species endemic to Okinawa’s Yambaru region. Sighting opportunities are highest during the breeding season from March to June. While sightings are still possible during the summer months from July to October, they are less frequent from November to February.

Notes

Under Japan’s guiding permit, our nature tours may include pickup.
This tour starts around Ada Garden Hotel and nearby forest roads to look for Okinawa endemics such as the Okinawa Rail, Okinawa Woodpecker, and Okinawa Robin. Activity is lower in winter (Dec–Feb).
To keep the schedule flexible, please avoid pre-booking breakfast.
Weather policy: we run the tour if rainfall is expected to stay at or below about 3 mm per hour and easing off. We cancel for typhoons, heavy rain, or cold waves.
Sightings of specific species are not guaranteed.
