Hiji Falls

Located in the Hiji settlement, Hiji Falls is the tallest waterfall on the main island of Okinawa, with a height of 25.7 meters. The abundant water flows into the Hiji River, and the area is home to a variety of plants and animals. The trail to Hiji Falls is approximately 2 kilometers one way, and along the way, you may hear the call of the Okinawa Rail or spot an Okinawa Robin. Many small animals inhabit the area, making it an excellent spot for nature observation.

Hiji Falls Camping

One of the accommodation options in Kunigami Village is camping in the natural surroundings of Hiji Falls.

Admission fee: ¥500, and Camping area fee: ¥2,000
Please note that tents are not available for rent, so you must bring your own. There is a cooking area, coin-operated showers, and BBQ equipment rental. The nearest convenience store (Family Mart) is only a 5-minute drive away.

Hiji Falls is a popular tourist spot. If you want to enjoy birdwatching or nature observation, you can join our early morning birdwatching or nighttime observation tours! We have a special agreement with Hiji Falls, allowing us to guide visitors for observation outside regular business hours.
